About Us
Welcome to Clonmel Allotments and Community Gardens Association.
The Association formed in 2008 with the initial aim of working with Clonmel Borough Council to get a pilot allotment scheme up and running. This was successfully achieved, with the first plot holders taking up their plots in early 2009.
Following on that success, the Association has set the following as its main aims:
- To represent the views and interests of allotment and community garden holders at Clonmel Borough Council site(s)
- To campaign for more allotments and community gardens in local communities
- To promote allotment and community gardening as a healthy and sustainable activity
- To cooperate with other bodies interested in promoting allotments and community gardens
Membership of the Association is open to anyone and we always welcome new input. You don’t have to have an allotment or community garden to be involved.
